Blacktzar have recorded one of the most well know songs in the past 20 years of modern Russian popular culture.

The song 'Utekay' was a hit for the band Mumiy Troll, fronted by the charismatic Ilya Lagutenko, and Blacktzar have recorded the song in their own distinctive style.

The song has been mixed by the mercurial producer Simon Gogerly, whose credits include winning a Grammy for producing U2's album 'How to dismantle an atonic bomb', New Order, Underworld,Placebo, Manic Street Preachers and the platinum selling album for Gwen Stefani.

Blacktzar premiered this song first when they performed live at the outstanding Afisha Picnic festival in Moscow on July 23rd this year. Blacktzar were special guests of the festival with Ilya from Mumiy troll accompanying them onstage!

2 bits of exciting news from Blacktzar, We have a new single in the pipeline, and also that we have a new drummer added to our live setup.

After our recent live shows over in Russia (Afisha picnic - Moscow) and Riga in Latvia this Summer, Blacktzar have decided to add a new drummer to the bands set up for live performances. This also co-incides with the recording of our next single a track entitled 'RIVER' which will feature the new rawer sound with the inclusion of live drums.
